Join us for the annual BFD Spring Scramble Golf Tournament in support of the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund, bringing together firefighters, supporters, and community members for a memorable day on the course. While cancer and heart disease continue to be leading causes of on-duty firefighter deaths and long-term disabilities, many Boston firefighters are currently facing serious cancer diagnoses and ongoing treatment. Firefighters are more than twice as likely to develop cancer compared to civilians, and in Boston, 67% of firefighters will face a cancer diagnosis during their lifetime.
