142nd Annual Ball & Awards Ceremony of the Boston Fire Dept.

Saturday, May 21, 2022

Sheraton Boston Hotel

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, firefighters across the world have been faced with new challenges every day that put the health and safety of not only themselves but, also their families and loved ones on the line. The members of the Boston Fire Department are no exception and have done everything they can to protect and serve the City of Boston and have done it without hesitation.

In 2020, although we were unable to gather and celebrate the actions of the men and women of the Boston Fire Department who went above and beyond the call of duty, we were able to live stream the event to commend them on their accomplishments. In 2022, however, we are excited that we will once again be able to gather at the Sheraton for the Annual Ball. Please join us as we honor members of the Boston Fire Department for their accomplishments and bravery on the job.

The BFD Local 718 10K Memorial Road Race

October 16, 2022

Florian Hall, Dorchester

The Boston Firefighters Local 718 10K Memorial Road Race was established to memorialize the brave members of the Boston Fire Department and Local 718 who courageously gave their lives while fulfilling their duty for the citizens of Boston.

Race day is a celebration of their lives while raising money for the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund. Over the past decade, heart disease and cancer have accounted for the majority of on-duty firefighter deaths. Since 2019, the Relief Fund has made it our mission to “Put Out Cancer in the Boston Fire Department”. All proceeds from the race will benefit our Cardiovascular and Cancer Screening Initiative.

We hope to see you in October!
